Wonderful Tunes Provided By Friends. Wild Tangents Provided By Me.

Bill Evans

I get the impression that Bill never found much solace in anything. He battled addiction for most of his adult life and died young from the affects. He left behind some breathtaking music. The song I chose is “My Foolish Heart.” It was written in the 40’s for a movie of the same title. It actually has lyrics and I found a vocal version of it but it sounds flat and generic when compared to the rich beauty of the Evans Trio interpretation.
