The Time Tunnel was a scifi series which ran from 1967-1968. It’s available for viewing on Hulu. The plot involved two young scientists who step through a secret government time tunnel and get lost. For the next 30 episodes they’re bounced from major historic event to major historic event trying and failing to change the course of history. It would be nice if we could use the time machine to change election results, but the problem with that is they based the Time Tunnel premise on the Novikov self-consistency principle which states that recorded history cannot be altered because it has not already been altered (so says Wikipedia). While you try to figure out what the heck that means, enjoy the theme song “Time Travel Adventure.”
November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and I am participating! The reason I mention it is that my novel is about time travel. I have a great beginning, and an even better middle to the story but I am having a devil of a time with the end. I have a hard time imagining the consequences in the present for actions taken in the past. Hmm… nope, that comment was definitely about my book. My subconscious had nothing to do with the typing of this help me… I mean blog post!!
