Wonderful Tunes Provided By Friends. Wild Tangents Provided By Me.

RIP Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor died of congestive heart failure today. She was 79. She made her first film in 1942 at the age of 9 and went on to make 50 more movies in a career that spanned 7 decades. For my money, she was also one of the most beautiful women in film history. I chose a clip from the 1948 movie “A Date With Judy.” The song is “It’s A Most Unusual Day” both Jane Powell and Elizabeth and her talented voice double take a turn at the song.

RIP Ms. Taylor.
