Wonderful Tunes Provided By Friends. Wild Tangents Provided By Me.

RIP Sidney Lumet

Director Sidney Lumet passed away on Saturday, April 4 from lymphoma. He was 88. He left behind an impressive legacy which includes some the greatest films of all time. His directorial debut, “12 Angry Men,” made AFI’s “Top 100 Movies List.” The “Attica” scene from “Dog Day Afternoon” is probably one of the most iconic and imitated scenes in film history but it doesn’t have any music, so I chose the opening scene from the same film. The song is called “Amoreena” and it’s performed by Elton John.

RIP Mr. Lumet
